HP Universal Print Driver is based on the Microsoft universal core driver UNIDRV and PSCRIPT.

  • Core driver can not be used until the device-specific information is used to inform the core driver settings and the ability of the actual device.
  • To accomplish this task, the universal print dialog box is inserted before the default print settings dialog box.
  • The universal printing dialog box allows the user to select the device that you just used, enter the IP address of the invention, look for a local print device, or choose the method of a predetermined list.

Regardless of the method of the invention of the device used, the core driver of Microsoft updated accordingly and new device information is then reflected in the standard print driver user interface.

HP Universal Print Drivers provide three different ways: PCL5, PCL6, and PostScript emulation. Choose standard value can be determined with the HP Driver Configuration Utility, available as a driver of Microsoft Windows 32-bit or 64-bit and automatically configures itself to one of the 35 languages currently supported by the host system language.
